This position is responsible for the direct interaction with the customer about product related matters, but with a technical orientation. The Applications Engineer works with the customer to specify an existing product that will meet the customers need or develop a description for a new or customer product to satisfy specific requirements when necessary. Applications Engineer must be capable of resolving technical problems for customers and be willing to "go into the field" or the laboratory to conduct testing, collects data, or resolves problems.  In addition, Application Engineers will develop application notes and other technical literature on a regular basis. Up to one third of the individuals time may be spent in travel.
